On Sunday, July 27, 2008, at 11:00 A.M., the Helen M. Paxton Women's Missionary Society of
St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 639 E. Long Street, will welcome Dr. Ebony Boyce as the speaker for the “Missionary Emphasis Sunday.” Dr. Boyce is, first and foremost, a child of God. She is a graduate of Hilliard High School, Stanford University, University of Michigan with a Master of Public Health and Duke University Medical School. She is also a product of St. Paul AME Church where she was a member of the Young People’s Department (YPD), Christian Endeavor, Junior Usher Board, Angelic, Wee Wisdom and Youth Choirs.
Dr. Boyce is a third year Obstetrics and Gynecology resident in Harvard’s Integrated Residency program at Brigham and Women’s and Massachusetts General Hospitals in Boston, MA. She serves on the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Graduate Medical Education Committee, which oversees all internal residency programs. She was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the National Residency Match Program, Washington DC.
Dr. Boyce is the daughter of Russell and Cheryl Boyce members of St. Paul AME Church.
Keeping within the focus of our theme: “LIVING WELL-AGING WELL-SERVING WELL”, following the 11 a.m. Worship service, the Missionary Society will also host its Second Annual Healthy Salad Bar available in the newly, dedicated Gateway Health and Wellness Center. Tickets are $10.00 per person and are available from the church office 614-228-4113 between 9 a.m. -2 p.m., any member of the Missionary Society, or can be purchased at the door. You can dine-in or carry-out is available.
