3rd candle - Shepherd's candle- welcoming of Jesus by all people even simple shepherds in the fields

The Wise Men were from different countries.

Christmas
"Celebrating the birth of Christ"

Epiphany, in church history, is traditionally celebrated on January 6th marking the arrival of the Magi in search of the Christ child.  "Epiphany" is a Greek word meaning "appearance".  The coming of the Magi marks the time when God is manifested on Earth to the entire world through Jesus Christ.

Lent - the 40-week day period of repentance and renewal preceding Easter.  "Sundays are not included".

Ash Wednesday  day of the Lenten season.  It begins forty days before Easter, excluding Sundays in Lent.

Palm Sunday - commemorates Christ's triumphant arrival in Jerusalem to the cheers of the crowd.

Maundy Thursday (or Holy Thursday) is the Thursday immediately preceding Easter.  It has reference to the washing of the Apostles' feet by Christ on Thursday evening before his death, and the institution of the Last Supper.

Easter
"Eastertide covers a fifty-day period (six Sundays) the empty crossthat challenges persons to reflect on the resurrection of Jesus.  Ascension Day is celebrated the sixth Thursday after Easter and commemorates the last manifestation of Jesus to his followers after the resurrection. (Luke 24:50-51 and Acts 1:2-11)".

Pentecost Sunday (the wearing of the red) Pentecost is the end of the 50-day Christian observance of Easter.  The term comes from the Greek word for fiftieth.

It represents the decent of the Holy Spirit - Acts II.
