Christmas Is A Frame Of Mind...

sistersThe Christmas season is not just a time of the year.  It can become a hectic time with the shopping, decorating, baking and visiting we do.

More than all of these rituals, however, Christmas is a frame of mind, and of the heart.  A time in which we can celebrate our joy and thankfulness.

Sometimes we get so caught up in what we don't have we forget all the things that God has blessed us with, things that we take for granted.  Food to eat, clothes to wear, shoes for our feet, a roof over our heads and a safe place to stay.

There are people in our community that don't have these things, so this Christmas we're praying for a miracle to share a bowl of soup and a sandwich, could be the difference in going to bed hungry or just knowing that someone cares.

To give clothes to someone in need is following our Master's mandate to clothe the naked.  To give in love, to look into the eyes of a stranger and have them see your love for them shining in your eyes, this is the true gift of Christmas. Bethlehem

To share an encouraging word, a pat on the shoulder, living our beliefs, this is what Miracle on Long Street is all about.

The greatest gift we will ever receive was given over 2000 years ago in a stable in Bethlehem let's continue to share that gift with others, because Christmas is more than a frame of mind it is of the heart.
