~ The Church School ~
The Church School is the largest arm of the Christian Education Department in the A.M.E. Church. Following systematic curricula, the Church School offers all ages, nursery through adult, the opportunity for weekly Bible Study throughout the year.
In addition to weekly classes, the
Church School sponsors the annual Vacation Bible School and Church School
Picnic among its offerings.
~ St. Paul A.M.E. Junior Church
~
Each month on
Second and Fifth
Sundays, St. Paul A.M.E. Junior Church is a service of praise and worship. The youth members participate in the worship service with the Word delivered by our Licentiates and youth leaders, followed by workshops and open discussions.
Youth Church participants use the Kid's Life Application Bible during the worship service. Youth Church members should be in the 6th grade through and including 12th grade. The young people have their Board of Officers consisting of appointed Stewards and elected Trustees.
~ JUNIOR USHER BOARD ~
Our purpose is to provide an opportunity for the youth of the church to serve the Lord as doorkeepers and to teach church etiquette.
The Junior Usher Board serves on the
Second Sunday during the 11:00 morning service. All young people are invited to participate. We ask for a willing spirit to serve the Lord and a smile! Contact Merzell McGhee, Becky Holliman or

~ ACOLYTE MINISTRY ~
St Paul A.M.E. Church offers a wonderful opportunity for young people to participate in the worship experience through serving in the Acolyte Ministry
The qualifications for serving in the Acolyte Ministry
are: Have a willingness to serve, be a least 7 years old, attend scheduled
training sessions and successfully complete instruction course. Contact Dr. Canise Y. Bean, Coordinator.
~ YOUTH EMPHASIS SUNDAY ~
The Third Sunday of each month is Youth Emphasis Sunday. The purpose is to provide instruction regarding the worship service, public speaking and self confidence. Training is provided. Children through 18 years of age are encouraged to participate. Contact Becky Holliman,

~ BOYSCOUTS/CUB SCOUTS ~
The Boy Scouts of America is one of the nation's foremost youth programs of character development and values based leadership training. Its mission is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the
Scout Oath and Law.
Cub Scout Pack 262 is for youth in grades 1 through 4 and meets monthly on the First and Third Saturdays in the Undercroft. Boy Scout Troop 262 is for youth in grades 5 through 12 and meets each Saturday in the Undercroft. Contact District Commissioner Greg Edmonds.
~ VOICES OF PRAISE ~
The Voices of Praise Youth Choir was established to provide the youth of St. Paul an outlet to praise the Lord through their vocal talents. They sing on the
Third Sunday of each month. Meeting Time: Thursday, 6:00-7:00 p.m. in the Church. Members are between the ages of 12 and 18. Contact Ms. Esther Banks, director
~ THE ANGELIC CHOIR ~
The choir provides one of the first opportunities for children to become active in the church. We try to build choir member's confidence in performing in front of a large group of people.
Children learn many new songs and perform on the
Third Sunday of each month. This is also an opportunity for choir members to meet and work with other children in the church.
Meeting Time: Wednesday, 7:00-7:30 p.m. in the Church Undercroft. Age Range: As soon as you can stand, you can join the choir (about age 1

~ MWANGAZA ~
The MWANGAZA Rites of Passage Ministry is designed to assist young adults as they begin their journey beyond their home, friends, and family.
Active participants in MWANGAZA will receive instruction and information on a wide variety of topics while developing a better understanding of the adult world they will be
entering after graduation from high school.
Participants must be High School
Seniors who will be graduating and intend to pursue further study after high
school.
MWANGAZA meetings are held at St. Paul
on the Third Sunday of each month immediately following the 11:00 a.m. Worship
service.
~ THE ST. PAUL PLAYERS DRAMA MINISTRY ~
The "Players" have members that range from 5 years of age to 70 plus
and have two annual projects, "The Miracle On Long Street" and "Holy Week". The remainder of the year
we provide skits and plays upon request.
In the past, we have provided skits for Vacation Bible School;
during the Sunday
morning service, we have provided short skits on subjects such as Black History.
The "Players" are always looking for good
people to help with sets, light, writing, costumes and make-up. Contact

~ YPD ~
The Young People's Division (YPD) falls under the umbrella of the Women's Missionary Society. The goals of the YPD is to interest the youth in discovering opportunities for witnessing through community outreach and letting their Christian convictions show through action in their daily activities.
The YPD strives to be involved with seniors of the church, sick and shut-ins, and the collection of food and toiletry items for the needy.
The YPD is an organization for all youth
of the church from ages 2-26. Meetings and regular classes are held on the
First Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. in the Undercroft of the church.
In addition to the First Wednesday meetings, the high school group is involved
in workshops on the Fourth Sunday. Contact Carlotta Hughes-Culp, Director.
~PRAISE IN MOTION ~
The St. Paul Dance Ministry teaches
interpretive movement, ballet, and liturgical dance. The goal is to dance
with a clear message that strengthens, encourages, and comforts others.
Praise in Motion meets on Thursdays and consists of three groups: Youth 3
to 11 years, Teens 12 to 18 years, and Young Adults/Adults 18 years and over.

~ ALLEN CHRISTIAN ENDEAVOR ~
The Allen Christian Endeavor (ACE) is part of the Ohio Christian Endeavor and provided interdenominational and interracial experiences for its member in Columbus and Central Ohio.
At St. Paul A.M.E., ACE is a youth
auxiliary that is intended to train children to be strong Christian leaders in
their church and community. One of the ways we do that is through Bible
Study and showing how the Bible can and does apply to our everyday life.
ACE meets at 6:00 p.m. every Wednesday of
the month except for the first Wednesday (which is when YPD meets) classes
run Pre-Kindergarten through the 12th grade. Dinner is provided and
transportation (if needed).

Women's Missionary Society Unit I
~ GIRLS WORKSHOP ~~
The workshop objective to enhance personal development
of young girls (ages: 7 through 15 years) at St. Paul A.M.E. Church and Community.
The mission is to develop and address the risk factors and needs of our adolescent girls.
The purpose is to impact the lives of young girls in a positive manner; to offer advice, support and nurturing to young
girls in social settings; practice self-confidence and strengthen their ability to make right choices.
Workshops are held every quarter. We invite qualified presenters for each workshop.

~ JAM-N JEFFERSON PARK ~
Jam-N is the annual church summer festival which takes place in July. This is an opportunity for young people to develop entrepreneurial skills as well volunteer. Contact Wanda or James Brown, Coordinators.
